The Gapco Gasoil Tank Project, completed on May 20, 2024, is a key expansion of Gapco’s depot in Port Sudan’s transit area.
This project added a 15,000 m³ gasoil tank to the facility, boosting its storage capacity and enhancing operational efficiency.
This expansion solidifies Gapco’s ability to meet growing fuel demands and supports the efficient management of its Port Sudan operations.
The Nepta Storage Depot, located in Port Sudan, is a state-of-the-art petroleum storage facility approved by the Sudanese Petroleum Corporation (SPC) on September 4, 2024.
This strategic depot features advanced infrastructure designed for the safe storage and transfer of gasoil, gasoline, and fuel oil.
The Nepta Storage Depot is a critical asset for Port Sudan, enhancing the region’s petroleum storage and distribution capabilities.
The Project considered as an expansion for the existing Storage Capacity of KOSTI THERMAL POWER PLANT, it is consists of the following capacities:
Two Fuel Oil Tanks – Floating Roof type - each of 20,000 m³capacity. With related Facilities: Complete Off-loading System with related Piping Connections , Pumps, Meters , and Off-loading Hoses, which facilitate Off-loading of 52 Rail Way Wagons simultaneously, Firefighting System according to International Standards, Civil Works includes: Buildings, Access Roads, Culverts, Pipe Supports, Electrical and Control System.
This Project is made to provide a huge Strategic Storing Facilities. As per the National Plan of the Country; Port Sudan Strategic Depot Project is made to grant very smooth flow of all the specific Products. It is mainly constructed to face the increasing demand for Fuel Petroleum Products (Fuel). The Depot consists of the following capacities
7 Nos. LPG Spheres, each of 3,000 m3 Capacity
4 Nos. Vertical Tanks for Gas Oil, each of 20,000 m3 Capacity
2 Nos. Floating Roof Tank for Gasoline, each of 10,000 m3 Capacity
1 No. Floating Roof Tank for Gasoline of 50,000 m3 Capacity
2 Nos. Vertical Tanks for JET A, each of 10,000 m3 Capacity
The Depot is provided with a complete Firefighting System constructed according to the related International Standards. A total of 50 km of 2 directional Pipes (main) Lines to connect the Depot-with-the Sea Vessels. The Project is fully controlled by TAMAS
